Statistics Canada issues its jobs report for September. Economists expect the unemployment rate to remain unchanged at 7.3 per cent. Hiring is expected to add 10,000 jobs to payrolls.
The U.S. Labour Department publishes its employment report for September. Economists expect the unemployment rate to rise to 8.2 per cent from 8.1 per cent. Non-farm payrolls are expected to grow by 115,000 jobs.
