Canadians love their coffee – especially when it comes from a single-serve machine. Retail sales of fresh ground coffee pods in Canada climbed to nearly $990-million (U.S.) last year, according to data from research firm Euromonitor International, and the market is projected to continue growing. Keurig Green Mountain Inc., which is being purchased for $13.9-billion, commanded more than half of the Canadian coffee-pod market in 2014.
