<p>Look around your office and you'll see them all: the precariously leaning towers of yellowing paper, the photo galleries of smiling family and precious pets, and the gleaming temples of immaculate filing.</p><p>Your desk says a lot about you. Organized employees are perceived as more productive, according to a survey of 500 human resource managers last year by staffing service OfficeTeam. It found 83 per cent of respondents said the appearance of an employee's workspace at least somewhat affects their perception of that person's professionalism.</p><p>No matter what shape your cubicle is in, it's a good time to think about a spring cleaning, suggests Isolde O'Neil, marketing director of the Professional Organizers in Canada.</p> <p>"The pressure of expanding work loads in recent years has made many employees give up even trying to keep up with the growing clutter on their desks," said Ms. O'Neil, whose non-profit organization gives courses and professional accreditation to professional office organizers.</p> <p>Even those who feel they're organized need to rethink their hoarding strategies, she said. "It will be a career booster because you'll waste less time by not having to deal with the same accumulated clutter over and over again." she said.</p><p>With tongue planted only partly in cheek, she said all office workers can be sorted into one of four clutter personality types. Here are her tips for managers and co-workers for taming desk disorder:</p>
