Automotive. British Columbia's No. 1 car dealer, with 18 locations and nine brands including Toyota and Lexus.

Entertainment. Led by Ripley's Believe It or Not! museums, the division is billed as the "the largest and fastest-growing international chain of museum-type tourist attractions in the world." Includes Guinness World Records business.

Export and financial. Includes assets led by a one-third stake in forestry company Canfor Corp. and a 14-per-cent stake in coal export facility Westshore Terminals.

Illuminated signs. Pattison Sign Group is one of the largest commercial sign (think McDonald's golden arches) companies in the world, leasing and maintaining about 40,000 signs each year.

Media. Includes Canada's largest billboard company, 29 FM radio stations in Alberta and B.C., and three TV stations.

Packaging. Three businesses, including Genpak, a leading North American maker of disposable food packaging.

Periodical distribution. Includes News Group, North America's largest magazine and book wholesaler.
