David Beatty is chairman of Inmet Mining Corp. and a director on the boards of Bank of Montreal, FirstService Corp. and Walter Energy Inc. He’s former managing director of the Canadian Coalition for Good Governance, which represents most of Canada’s largest institutional investors. He is director of the Clarkson Centre for Business Ethics and Board Effectiveness at the University of Toronto and an instructor in the director education program offered by Canada’s Institute of Corporate Directors.
