Business software firm Descartes Systems Group says its second quarter profits rose to $2-million (U.S.) on the back of revenue that was 35 per cent higher than the comparable period.
The Waterloo, Ont.-based company reported Thursday that earnings were worth three cents per share, compared to $800,000 a year ago or two cents per share a year earlier.
The results were positively affected by $100,000 in income tax recoveries.
Revenues grew 35 per cent to $25.2-million from $18.6-million.
"We're on-course strategically and look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead for Descartes," said chief executive Art Mesher.
