Toronto-area real-estate agents report a slight uptick in sales activity during the first two weeks of January and a higher average selling price compared with the same period last year.

The Greater Toronto Realtors association says there were 1,469 home resales through their system from Jan. 1 to 14. The average price per transaction was $459,728 — up four per cent from $442,292 last year.
