Video: 'Would you take a 50-per-cent wage cut?'

Globe and Mail Update
Ross Seeley, a 29-year employee of Electro-Motive Canada, found himself out of work when Caterpillar Inc.'s Progress Rail Services shut down the London, Ont. plant last month. Before the shutdown announcement, Caterpillar had demanded pay cuts of up to 50 per cent in many job categories, elimination of a defined-benefit pension plan, reductions in dental and other benefits and the end of a cost-of-living adjustment. Ross, 53, doesn't regret rejecting those demands.
