Sears Canada brings Quebec-based Corbeil to Toronto area Add to ...

Sears Canada Inc. says the opening of four Corbeil appliance stores in the Toronto area will expand the brand outside its home base in Quebec.

Corbeil was founded in 1949 and has more than 30 locations throughout Quebec.

The national retail chain has owned Corbeil Electrique Inc. since 2005.

The first Corbeil store planned for the Toronto area announced its grand opening Friday.

The Vaughan store just north of Toronto will be followed by others in Richmond Hill, Burlington and Mississauga.
