Making a sale can be tough enough during normal economic times. But in a recession? Simply strapping on a happy face likely won't get you beyond a “no.”
Recently, Noel Hulsman, editor of Report on Small Business magazine, moderated an hour-long discussion exploring sales strategies for recessionary times.
The experts who shared tips on identifying leads, cultivating connections and closing the deal were:
- Jeff Calvert, managing director of Borealis Carbon Offsets Ltd.
- Jacquie Rogers, general sales manager for TV Week and YouthInk magazines
- Wendy Porteous, business development manager of Ascenta Health Ltd.
- Jason Cunningham, co-founder of Jugo Juice
