How a full-time student changed the fitness game

Globe and Mail Update

Matias Golob leveraged research he conducted to start and grow a successful business. The owner of Body Advantage bridges the fitness gap between researcher and practitioner by pairing kinesiologists with older adults to diversify the workout experience.

“It’s important for young people to be entrepreneurial and inspire our culture to envision social development through business endeavours,” says the full-time student at the University of Ottawa.

Mr. Golob has also been involved in heritage restoration projects and charity fundraising.

He was named one of three 2010 Student Entrepreneur Ontario champions by national charitable organization Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE). Listen to a podcast with him on the Your Business home page.
