OOHLALA Mobile is going home with $30,000 worth of advisory services from MaRS after winning The National Business and Technology Conference (NBTC) 2011 Entrepreneurship Competition.
OOHLALA Mobile's mission is simple, to create a global mobile platform (iPhone, iPad, iPod, BlackBerry, Android, others coming soon) that helps students navigate their student and social life.
Forty-five executive summaries from students and young professionals were evaluated in advance, and whittled down to 21 finalists in the preliminary round, and then to five in the final round. Business plans were graded "based on technological feasibility, market penetration strategy, organizational structure and financial projections."
