Angela Quinton, left, and husband Justin Quinton outside Sandberg Labs in Lethbridge, Alta.Larry MacDougal

Not long after Angela Quinton and her husband Justin bought Sandberg Labs, they set lofty goals: make the Lethbridge, Alta.-based soil- and feed-testing company the biggest and most accessible facility of its kind in Western Canada by the end of 2015, and double annual revenue to $1-million by boosting capacity, modernizing the lab and expanding services.

How to do that?

The Globe and Mail and Telus Corp. kicked off a search last year for small companies tackling big-business issues. Angela and Justin joined us for an hour-long discussion on their business challenges, and how they used the money and the expert advice to help further their original goals. Marketing and web consultant Lynda Kavanagh, and business consultant Bruce Thurston, brought their expertise to the table. You can view an archive in the box below.
