When non-residents hear the words 'Hamilton, Ontario' there’s a good chance scarred landscapes and tall smokestacks come to mind. But Steeltown is making a concerted effort to shake the reputation of its industrial past and look to a small-business future. Its aggressive entrepreneurial agenda includes a one-stop centre at city hall for information and advice, reduced red tape, and incentives designed to draw out-of-town companies.
