Full-time student juggles two companies

Globe and Mail Update

Justin Kathan displayed a knack for entrepreneurship at a young age with lawncare and T-shirt businesses. These two high-school ventures, in turn, helped fund his next projects, specifically DECO Windshield Repair and more recently, KuRV Apparel, a graduation clothing company.

A full-time student at the University of Manitoba, Mr. Kathan was named the 2010 Student Entrepreneur Manitoba Champion by Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE).

“It is a great honour to be the recipient of this award as it acknowledges the merits of entrepreneurship and the benefits that it can and has created for so many, including myself.”

Mr. Kathan was here for a live online discussion on balancing school and business.
