Jeff Karr has owned and operated GreenEdge, a full-service lawn-care, landscaping and snow-removal business in Calgary, since 1997. As well, he has invented an innovative portable lawnmower blade-sharpening tool that he is getting ready to patent and market.

He was named the 2010 student entrepreneur Saskatchewan champion by national charitable organization, Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE).

“It is an honour to receive this award; I feel this has helped validate my hard work," says the University of Saskatchewan student, who is now completing an internship and will enter his fourth year with a major in chemical engineering and a minor in entrepreneurship.
