For the past two years, Justin Kathan has owned and operated Manitoba-based DECO Windshield Repair, a service that provides expert windshield chip and crack repair within 15 minutes, often at no cost to the customer through comprehensive insurance coverage. Additionally the business saves thousands of windshields from landfills each year.

More recently, Mr. Kathan launched his second business - KuRV Apparel, a company that provides high-school students with an easy way to purchase, customize, and order graduation clothing.

He's also a full-time student at the University of Manitoba.

Mr. Kathan was named the 2010 Student Entrepreneur Manitoba Champion by Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE).

In the latest of a series of monthly podcasts with ACE honourees, he spoke with Diane Jermyn about balancing student and working life. He joined us for an online discussion, and you can go to the Your Business home page to view an archive.
