Canadian investment banks continue to cherry pick their Wall Street rivals, with BMO Capital Markets landing a Bank of America veteran on Thursday to deepen its coverage of U.S. financial services companies.
The investment dealer arm of Bank of Montreal hired Christopher Donohoe in its Manhattan office. He spent the last 15 years in senior roles at Bank of America and J.P. Morgan, advising specialty finance companies and banks on a wide variety of M&A, debt and equity assignments.
BMO and rival RBC Dominion Securities have quietly but steadily picked off investment banking talent in U.S. cities in recent months, as the Wall Street firms all take the axe to head count.
