Let's hope sales and trading veteran Geoffrey Fell has better timing in the markets than with his gardening leave, as financiers call time off between jobs.
After leaving CIBC World Markets in January, Mr. Fell spent the past few cold months on the sidelines. Now, just as spring is breaking in full force, when a guy could actually be gardening, or more likely golfing as gardening leave is truly meant for, he'll be heading to work. Mr. Fell officially starts Monday in his new role as a managing director of equity sales and trading at RBC Dominion Securities.
Mr. Fell, who covers big institutions in Canada, spent the past 16 years at CIBC before RBC lured him away in January.
