GMP adds mining analyst Add to ...

GMP Securities is filling a hole in its research coverage of base metals companies by bringing over an analyst from CIBC World Markets.

Mining is the bread and butter business for GMP, and the company lost a pair of analysts in base metals earlier this year to a rival dealer.

The new hire, Ian Parkinson, will be a director specializing in researching Canadian base metals companies.
