Jennings Capital is bringing on a technology analyst, broadening the firm's focus into one of the hotter market sectors.
Jennings decided last year when reviewing its strategy last year to stick to the energy and resource focus that it is known for, rather than trying too hard to catch the wave in technology.
However, an opportunity recently emerged for Jennings to add one of the analysts cast adrift by the closure of Byron Capital. Jennings has brought Dev Bhangui on board to cover technology.
Mr. Bhangui's coverage list at Byron included companies such as DHX Media and Redline Communications.
From a financing standpoint, tech has been busy. Also, the stocks are actively trading as the sector has been in focus.
