MEG Energy Corp. finally priced at $35 a share, bringing the total size of the deal to about $700-million. On Tuesday the deal size was revised down from more than $1-billion and the marketing range fell to $35 to $39 from $42 to $48. Read the whole story here.

Lions Gate, based in Canada, used the manoeuvre after Mr. Icahn resumed his hostile bid for the company last week. Read the whole story here.

China's AgBank bumps up IPO size

A day after MEG Energy Corp. scaled back its IPO, Agricultural Bank of China Ltd. has done the exact opposite. Since its trading debut in Hong Kong on July 16, AgBank sold another $1.57-billion (U.S.), bringing the total to $20.8-billion. That's just $1.1-billion less than Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd.'s $21.9-billion blockbuster 2006 IPO. Read the whole story here.

It's not clear how the rule will be enforced, but the Wall Street Journal cited Bloomberg News' approach as a possibility. At the media company, electronic scanners read through e-mails for 70 different words and phrases and employees get a pop-up message when one is caught. Read the whole story here.
