Raymond James hires energy banker from Macquarie Add to ...

In the unceasing war for investment-banking talent in Calgary, Raymond James has hired a senior banker from Macquarie Group.

Raymond James is bringing on Trevor Anderson as a managing director in its energy investment banking practise, the same role he had at Macquarie. Mr. Anderson spent about four years at Macquarie. Prior to that he worked at BMO Nesbitt Burns, National Bank Financial and Merrill Lynch.

Florida-based Raymond James has one of the largest presences in Canada of any U.S. financial-services firm. The firm has an investment bank focused on deals that require a cross-border component, and a network of 5,400 financial advisers.
