RBC Dominion Securities Inc. is again adding to its U.S. banking team with two new managing directors.
Noël Brown joins the healthcare group to focus on life sciences and biotechnology, which has been a hot sector in recent months. Mr. Brown previously worked in healthcare investment banking at Piper Jaffray and Lehman Brothers, followed by Barclays Capital.
Jonathan Tretler will join RBC's U.S. consumer and retail group, focusing on one of the sector's biggest categories: food and beverages. Like Mr. Brown, Mr. Tretler is also experienced, having previously been a co-head of food and beverage at Deutsche Bank and in a similar role at UBS.
The two bankers join RBC at a time when the lender is looking to expand its operations in the U.S., and they follow a string of investment banking new hires in other specialties, including several other managing directors and group heads. Several of these new additions were once Lehman Brothers employees.
The investment banking business in the U.S. now has 375 employees to cover 13 industries, according to a press release from RBC.
Both will be based in New York.
