Respected tech analyst Mike Abramsky has left RBC Dominion Securities, but has yet to decide what he's going to do next.

Mr. Abramsky is well-known on the Street and has written some high profile publications such as "Split the Berry," which advocated splitting up RIM back in 2011. He stayed on at RBC for RIM's earnings last week, and then stepped aside.

"I've been there for seven years and in capital markets for a decade," he said. "It just turned out to be time that I wanted a change."

Mr. Abramsky said he isn't quite sure of what's to come, but he definitely wants to stay in the technology space. However, he did know one thing: "I don't have any plans to be another analyst."
