Teneo Holdings bills itself as the global CEO advisory firm.
When your goal is to provide credible, useful insights to corporate leaders, you need to draw on seasoned talent. Which brings us to the rainmakers who just joined Teneo's recently established Canadian office in Toronto.
Teneo, based in New York, landed former PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP CEO Chris Clark and former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney as its first two senior advisers. The pair join a list that includes the likes of retired U.S. Senator George Mitchell and former U.S. Securities and Exchange chairman Harvey Pitt.
Mr. Clark ran accounting firm PwC until 2011 and is now a director at Loblaw Cos. Ltd. and Hydro One. Mr. Mulroney was a two-term Prime Minister who has kept up his global ties as a Montreal-based partner at law firm Norton Rose, and serves as a director or adviser to Quebecor Inc., Blackstone Group L.P. and Barrick Gold Corp.
Teneo was founded in 2011 by a team with roots in U.S. and U.K. corner offices and politics, and expanded into Canada in July, 2016. The local office is led by former Kinross Gold executives James Crossland and Andrea Mandel-Campbell, and former National Public Relations executive John Crean.
