UBS hires within wealth management Add to ...

Guillaume Lagourgue is joining the UBS Wealth Management team as the head of entrepreneur advisory solutions. That's a long group name, but it simply means he will take a hands-on roll working with UBS private wealth managers and clients to act as a bridge between investment banking and wealth management.

He'll particularly work with clients who are entrepreneurs to help them do things like raise money or sell their businesses. It's a new role at UBS, but the firm thinks it adds a lot to their coverage of higher net worth clients.

Before heading over to UBS, Mr. Lagourgue was with Resource Acquisition Corp., which acquires and invests in mining companies. He's also worked in JPMorgan's financial institutions investment banking group .

Mr. Lagourgue gained some experience working with private clients at JPMorgan where he worked as a capital advisor, providing structured financing and derivative ideas to high net worth individuals.
