'Rep by pop': How long will we wait?

Although the Charter of Rights and Freedoms was meant to guarantee equality for each Canadian, it does not protect voters against a democratic deficit at the ballot box.When the next election is held, it will take almost 75 Ontario voters to equal the clout of 57 New Brunswick electors. Only 50 Saskatchewan voters will be needed to match the power of 75 B.C. citizens.
