Olympian, spouse probed in art-theft case

MONTREAL -- The Quebec provincial police investigated Olympic champion Myriam Bédard and her husband over allegations that he stole 20 paintings from a prominent Montreal artist, court documents say.No charges have been filed. Two weeks ago, the Sûreté du Québec made an unsuccessful search of a warehouse, looking for missing works by painter Ghitta Caiserman-Roth, 81. The police also questioned Ms. Bédard's father, Pierre.
