1. Is the electricity back on in Baghdad?Most of the time. Unfortunately, the lights are often on all day and out all night. Some establishments have back-up generators, but when those fail, and the temperature is 46 degrees Celsius, you're down to manually spinning the rotors of your fan to generate a breeze. There are even a couple of Internet cafés now open, though they connect via satellite since the phone system is still virtually non-existent.
