The dreamer, the joker, the chameleon

TORONTO -- He came to Toronto with a dream. He switched cities, changed his appearance with cosmetic surgery, even altered his name. Michael Briere, who grew up in a working-class neighbourhood in Montreal, wanted to become a body-building movie star like Arnold Schwarzenegger or, at least, a Hollywood-style standup comedian. This despite a French-Canadian accent and a near complete absence of looks.
