New federation suffers setback

Less than a year after its formation, the World Skating Federation suffered a major blow this week when acting vice-president Sonia Bianchetti resigned.Bianchetti was once a member of the ruling council of the International Skating Union, the organization the WSF is trying to replace. However, she backed the WSF in its quest last year to offer a separate ruling body for figure skating.
