Plastic surgery shouldn't have such a bad image

Plastic surgery has been in the news a lot of late, what with the death of Cinar Corp. co-founder Micheline Charest during a "spring lift," and the publicity afforded the TV shows Extreme Makeover and The Swan. Media coverage leaves one with the distinct impression that plastic surgery is an indulgence of the vain and the rich, one that is personified by the likes of Cher and Pamela Anderson.
