Microcell vows business as usual despite looming takeover battle

Microcell Telecommunications Inc. is launching its aggressive City Fido mobile phone service in Toronto this week, attacking the country's largest market just as it faces a $1.1-billion hostile takeover bid from Telus Corp.Telus, a Vancouver-based phone company, filed its official bid circular late yesterday and got it ready to send to Microcell shareholders.
