Here's the Olympian point: We ogle the flesh

I came back from a blissfully unplugged vacation the other day to discover that our national pride had been shattered in Athens. Our finest athletes, none of whom I'd ever heard of until now, had gone down to crushing defeat. The swimmers were no good. The rowers were no good. Recriminations filled the air. Just as we hit bottom, we medalled in that classic Olympic sport, the trampoline. The world seemed bright again.
