Marathon man Milton just keeps on going

Robert Milton's pep talks to Air Canada staff have taken on a decidedly Olympic tone. The airline isn't an official sponsor of the Games, but its ads have caught the Canadian Olympic Committee's eye. The COC isn't pleased Air Canada portrays itself as a "proud sponsor" of broadcasts from Athens, and wants the Olympic connection toned down. Mr. Milton clearly likes this Olympic thing, judging by his taped messages to staff. Last week, he remarked that "we don't have to look any further for inspiration on excellence than the athletes currently competing at the Summer Games in Athens." This week, he refers to the airline's "restructuring marathon" and looks forward to crossing the "finish line." No question the restructuring has been one of Olympic proportions.
