Sexual behaviour in the human tale

Boyle's novel about real-life sexology pioneer Alfred Kinsey and a group of fictional acolytes, sassy sex-advice columnist Dan Savage (aren't they all so darn sassy, though?) answered a letter in my city's not-so-alternative weekly from a reader who wanted information about getting off by attaching stereo components to various genitalia -- an exercise that appeared to involve speaker wire, among other things. Do not try this at home, kids, Savage admonished in that jokey yet paternal tone sex columnists adopt when there's a fine line between sexual liberty and a lawsuit.
