Rogers gets religion in West by acquiring Trinity channel

VANCOUVER -- Rogers Communications Inc. is expanding its reach in western Canada by acquiring the religious broadcasting assets of privately owned Trinity Television Inc. for an undisclosed price.Rogers is finally gaining a foothold in the Vancouver television market after Trinity went looking for a cash-rich buyer for its money losing Now TV channel which is based in Surrey, B.C.
