Commuters stranded as bus drivers take a walk

St. John's -- Thousands of commuters were left looking for transportation alternatives yesterday as bus drivers went out on strike.Public transit services in St. John's and Mount Pearl, Nfld., came to a standstill after midnight, Sunday, as roughly 120 drivers and support staff with Metrobus walked out to back contract demands.
