Study opens eyes to lead as a key cause of cataracts

Chronic exposure to lead may be a significant overlooked cause of cataracts, according to a provocative new study.U.S. researchers have found that the more lead a person has accumulated in their bones, the greater their likelihood of developing cataracts, a clouding of the lenses of the eye that is the leading cause of blindness.
