Oscar reads

There are, it might surprise you to know, people who do not much care whether Martin Scorsese aviates himself into that elusive first Oscar as best director tomorrow night. Or who are not outraged that 2004's most inventive film, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, didn't merit a best picture nod. There are even people who've never been in a cineplex, wouldn't know a DVD from a Humvee and think J-Lo is a diet aid. The following is probably not for them.
