Gay Israeli couples petition for marriage recognition

Two gay couples who wed in Toronto are petitioning Israel's Supreme Court to recognize their marriages.The petitions were submitted after the Interior Ministry refused to recognize the November, 2003, marriages. On March 11, four other gay Israeli couples married in Toronto. One of the couples said they will fight to have their marriage recognized at home. CP
