Rice warns North Korea: U.S. will defend itself
Washington -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice warned North Korea yesterday that the United States is able to defend itself and allies against missile threats.Responding to reports that North Korea launched a short-range missile into the Sea of Japan on Sunday, Ms. Rice said, "I don't think there should be any doubt about our ability to deter whatever the North Koreans are up to."
