Dosanjh accuses Conservatives of altering tapes
OTTAWA -- Health Minister Ujjal Dosanjh has accused the Conservatives of splicing damaging words into the recordings made secretly by Tory MP Gurmant Grewal and removing segments from publicly released versions.The charge that the Conservatives had tampered with recordings that show Mr. Dosanjh and the Prime Minister's chief of staff, Tim Murphy, dangling the possibility of cabinet and other appointments for Mr. Grewal and his MP wife, Nina Grewal, if they switched sides in a crucial May 19 confidence vote was greeted with derision by the Tories, who called it a diversion tactic.
