PET scans valuable, group says

The Ontario Association of Nuclear Medicine says the provincial government is restricting access to a diagnostic imaging tool already used around the world to detect certain cancers.The group would like to see positron emission tomography scans more widely available outside of the handful at Ontario academic medical centres where they were implemented last month.
