Doubles lovers likely will not be impressed this week when the ATP Tour announces major format changes for tournaments, starting after the U.S. Open in September.In an effort to ensure that doubles competition on the men's tour does not clog up the schedule and that an event attracts more top singles players because matches will go more quickly, sets will no longer be to the usual six games, but to five -- with a tiebreaker played at 4-all.
