U.S. health insurer WellPoint buys rival WellChoice
WellPoint Inc., the largest U.S. health insurer, said yesterday it has agreed to buy WellChoice Inc., an insurer with about five million customers in New York and New Jersey, for about $6.5-billion (U.S.) in cash and stock.
