Vegas of the East gives HK a run for its money

Until recently, most descriptions of Macau in travel books would feature the phrase "sleepy (former) Portuguese enclave." No longer. Macau's economy is soaring, fuelled by the Las Vegas casino dollars that are pumping into the city and the cash being flashed across the tables by punters from China.
