It's a living

Sometimes a remake of a British TV phenomenon will become an immediate hit over here -- All in the Family, Sanford and Son, American Idol, to name the most obvious examples. And sometimes it's a horrible miss: The network shelves are stacked with abysmal attempts to recreate British hits like Men Behaving Badly, Cold Feet, Cracker and, unforgivably, Fawlty Towers. Some things just can't be improved upon.
