Betrayal, by Karin Alvtegen, Penguin, 304 pages, $22Karin Alvtegen won the Glass Key award for her second novel, Missing. I haven't read that one, but Betrayal is brilliant. It starts with a simple statement: "I don't know." We are not sure what we don't know, but we are at the beginning of a genuine dance of death.
